as a prize to EPN returners, i'm posting the mp3's of a positively divine french synth-punk 12" from 1983...
i don't know a lot about this one, other than that its fairly rare (500 copies). i don't believe the band members were involved with any other projects. for me this encapsulates the zany, cartoonish side of french diy so perfectly.

and another, from the french-swiss lo-fi electro pop outfit guyer's connection. this is their only LP, from 1983.. (although second LP was posthumously released in 05, which is available for download from mutant sounds). the tracks have a very charming, teetering-on-the-edge quality, and a youthful playfulness - apparently the band members were 16 at the time!

and last but not least, a more aggro addition: réseau d'ombres. a touch of PiL, killing joke, and...i dunno. definitely on the gothier side of post-punk, and more uk-inspired than a lot of french bands, but they also maintain a very distinct sound and identity. i think several board members will really appreciate this one! i was just able to find the mp3's recently, and its been playing a lot around here. now if i could only find a copy of the lp...

I love the song "keep the city clean" by Guyer's Connection best. Thanks for offering.
Another song I like in the same school is "Game and Performance" by Deux.
I'm still listening to Bene Gesserit all the time - it's much appreciated.
