M theory is fun!

i like when people who are smart break thier thoughts down into somthing that an idiot like me can understand.

this is a pretty good explaination of m theory and the 11th dimension and parallel universes and shit.....plus you get to watch some dude ice-skate, and listen to a crazy dude talk about how he is trying to create a new universe in his basement. this is only the first part, but it links up to the rest.

hey daddy-o! I don't wanna go! down to the basement!

also....i know this is pretty much totally unrelated....but why doesn't steven hawking's voice machine have a british accent? i mean...he IS british....why does he sound like an american woman? although i didnt realize this, but the guy is a total joke-cracker! he busts a few jokes in this interview with carl sagan, including an underlooked "billions and billions" reference joke to sagan....but his jokes about the big bang and the economy fall pretty flat....but you gotta give the guy credit for trying.....maybe it would be funnier or more charming if he had an english gentlemen's voice.

I think I heard him saying something about how he has gotten used to that voice that he started using a long time ago, that it feels like "his voice" and new voices kinda freak him out. Tho not as much as evaporating black holes do...

Talking about physicists with funny voices, Michio Kaku sure can skate, huh?

oh...that makes a lot of sense. and yeah kaku can skate....he is a regular tonya harding.
