I need advice - part duh

So I made a sketch of that video project today and posted it on YouTube. I'm calling it "Pictocracy" for now. Here it is:

I decided not to use morphing pictures, but rather to keep it pretty simple. I tend to get "too close" to a project when I'm using the computer because the medium gets in the way of expressing the idea. This is unfinished. There will be a voice-over to help with the reading, some noise music to go with the background noise, and some music with a beat synched to the dancing picture. Anyway, I'd like to ask for feedback.

Can you understand what I'm getting at? Do the 5 questions make any sense? What music should I use? I kind of feel like music is a good way to trick people into thinking something's good. I want to get responses in the "comments" section cause I love hits. I'm talking opinions and advice. We can talk theory some other time.

I plan to make a few of these things. I imagine they will have a cumulative effect. Hits n' tricks.

this is awesome.
it's a much more wieldy and 'pop' application of a lot of the ideas you've been working with. the 'what does it mean' question might be a little weird and hard to answer. i'd consider revising it, as it could be off-putting.
musically, i think you need some kooky, mark mothersbaugh-esque thing with lots of cheap casio drum machine sounds. although i guess thats the like, obvious-duh-and-duh way to go with it.

Thanks TCD.
That's good advice about the "What does it mean?" question. I wonder how others feel about this... I thought that "What should it do next?" was the most obscure. I think I'll put a kind of more detailed explanation in the "more..." section on the YouTube page.
I think the music should be pretty obvious because POP is obvious, and good art is like duh. It seems like electronic is best, but not cold or too mechanical sounding. Kooky and biological sounding. Any specific song suggestions? Its more fun to watch with itunes. It's 60bpm.
I have to remake the whole thing because of the letterbox issue. Damn it. So any suggestions are easy to act on. Technical things are making me wacky. There are some issues with the compression because there is too much info (kbps), so I'm going to reduce the speed and complexity of the background.

"what should it do next?" is a little confusing, too, but i feel like it's easier to figure out - especially since the little critters are animated, there's already like, implied action. i mean, it's kind of confusing when you ask people what an object means (unless it is something obviously symbolic, like a flag or a religious icon or something). like, if you ask someone "what does a tree mean?" i think they'll probably just get confused. i can't think of any better way to phrase the question, tho, to get the kind of responses you would want.
(err, i just re-read your earlier post where you said that you want to be working more w/ cultural symbols - in which case the 'meaning' thing makes more sense)...

i recently went through (yet another) hard drive crash, so i odn't have the mp3's anymore, but i would possibly suggest something off of these comps:

i can track them down again, pretty easily. they're very warm and zany and fun, loungey kitschy synth stuff.
