bene gesserit - a high happy perverse and cynical cry of joy

here are two albums which i think perhaps bear relevance to some of the current discussion on board.
both outfits involve alain neffe and nadine bal, a belgian duo who ran a mostly casette-only label called insane music. they released an infamous series of casettes called "insane music for insane people".
i won't say much, but i think it's worth reflecting upon the notions of difficulty and inscrutabilty that have been brought up here in the last few days, both in my music thread and also in eff's thread. by championing the word "insane", the artists make their outsider-agenda pretty explicit. the music is, obviously, quite bitter and aggressive, but there is, as the bene gesserit title would suggest, a joyous playfulness present. i think these are pretty highly laudable efforts that everyone should hear...

I was listening to these in the studio. Great!

Keep "em coming TCD!

BTW - has anyone noticed that you don't need to buy a tape adaptor to get yr iPod to play over a stereo? All you need to do is open the tape deck, press play, and put the little bud headphones over the tape head. I tried this out of desparation and it worked yeah oh yeah!
