Lohirrim! yeah whatever...basically the only reason for this post is development. i think things are going really well...but i want to get some feedback, see what people think...or just whatver...thoughts about the site...changes...or just things that are going well..i mena it helps to point out what is good...also just to ask if people want a website on the links sections...lots of room...any thoughts on the site would be awesome.

Is there anyway to get the recent comments to just show the title of the thread that the updates are in ? It's a little out of control to use at the moment. But I like that it's there, it's PROGRESS!!!
Also, I had originally posted my MP3 using an embed tag, but than I realized that it might be slowing the page down for people on slow connections, so I changed it to a link... we should probably make a rule: no embeds for anything over 30k ?
embedded tags slow down loading for the rest of the page?? Whoops! I like embedded shit so much though. I wonder if there's an easy way to embed it in a little flash player (a la youtube) that doesn't load up unless you tell it to?
Yea that's one way to do it. Although your file was midi, so I don't really think that's going to cause any problems.
hmm...i agree..the recent comments bar is pretty fucking hectic..the thing is i got it working as it is now..then i tried to fiddle with it and it dissapeared and then it look me like another hour to get it to show up again...so i just kind of left it...but i think i need to re-tackle that problem...blogger isnt really all that flexible in terms of function...but i think i might be able to figure something out...
embed rule...thats the problem...but i think i might be the only person who uses this page who has a slow connection, and i guess it slowed it down, but not really...i just stopped it before it finished loading...all the written content wa there, but i guess if someone has posted like a new image or something it might not show up..but when you have dial up you just deal with that shit...so idunno...i wonder if other people have opinions on embedded content?
maybe i could program a little app that people could use...or something...i dont know if that would really work...i dunno...i guess probably the best option if we decide to nix embeds i just to have it link to a download.

What about a Comment of the Week feature at the top of the page, or some shit? The honor would go to the best comment gold, and the prize would be a downloadable peeza-pie.
basically this blog rules and everyone's been posting awesome shit, and comments and critiques have been thoughtful and interesting.
if the recent comment bar could be worked out, thats awesome, if not, who cares.....
oh - and is danny gibson a member? does he need to be? i think he might...

I think the problem with the comments bar is that it isn't hectic enough.
I wish we had more ads for products I need, like emoticons.

I think there should be a really good joke contest. Actually I really don't.
I haven't been able to download anything big, but there don't need to be limits I think. Well, maybe only a really really big limit. People with dial up are used to cleaning their toenails while they wait for pix to load.
I propose that on the first of each month we make a heading that is like, art or music or books or whatev or something youall saw that rocks that people should see - it doesn't have to be new or new to you or anything - just something to think about. Whoever wants to post can - it can be as simple as just a supershort blurb so we can figure out stuff by ourselves on wikipedia or whatever, or it can be a discussion. once a month might mean fun to share, without being too often.
So everyone give this two bits of think time, cause of the first is soonish.

i talked to logan the other day and told him to post but then he didn't. im not sure if he even realized he's actually a member. i think he's drunk, or depressed or something.

I think this blog rocks. I'm no blogger, but I think that this is cool. It's refreshing to see people offering legit, honest feedback. I love it when people are real. The REALNESS!!!!
I agree with Farley that the recent comments bar could stand to be a lot more cluttered and confusing. Maybe it could also show the times the posts were made and how many members were online at the time.
cool...well i would like to change the recent comments bar...but its seems pretty difficult...so im going to try some shit, but if anybody has any tips...holler.
ha! spoke too soon...i fucking got the damn comments bar the way i want it...i think...but the code is really simple so if you think i should change something..like have less info, or less text shown...more entries...less entires...i mean also...whatever...it looks good and it works...

Although it is actually less cluttered and confusing (NOT what I suggested). But I can compromise on this one.
The other thing is that now we all have to start our comments out with some obnoxious headline type phrase so that people want to read it...
